Having played sports all my life and even professionally, I was very nervous that tearing my achilles was going to limit my very active lifestyle. When I was first starting out, I could barely walk normal on it without pain. The flexibility, mobility, and strength were just not there at all. I knew my decision of where to do rehab was going to be a very important one as I was looking for the same sort of facility and level of care I received playing in college and professionally. My standards were high to say the least.
I couldn't be happier with my decision to choose Foothills Sports Medicine. The staff is top notch. Very knowledgeable and treat you like you are part of the family. From the second you walk in the door and are greeted by the people at the front desk all the way through to the physio's and techs, you feel warmth and care in a friendly environment.
Rehab can be just as difficult mentally as it is physically. You need a team behind you supporting you along the way. The staff and techs at Foothills are friendly and make the rehab process fun and enjoyable. They share that journey with you. Even when I had dry needling done, which I'm not a huge fan of needles, all of them were very supportive and helped me get over my fear.
My achilles is much stronger now and I can actually jump off of one foot. Was even able to finally go skydiving. I even recommend the dry needling as it truly is life changing.
If I suffer any more injuries in my active lifestyle, I know exactly where I will be going.
