| - I came in today for a pedicure and full set. I brought in a reference photo of the nails that I wanted, that was posted by this salon - which I showed the front desk staff as soon as I signed in. To start, I got the $38 pedicure, which was mediocre at best. The scrub and massage were so-so, the "hot stone massage" maybe lasted 30 seconds, and I still have rough feet even with the added "callous scrub and remover". The polish on my right toe is bubbled, which I noticed when I got home. The same tech started on my hands, and I also showed her the reference picture which she seemed to be confused about. She asked another tech about the ombré that I wanted. She continued doing my nails and dipping them in the first layers of powder. Once she was done with this, it was only then that the front desk girl came over and said it would be an extra $18... what? For what exactly? She said for the ombré. I said no. The tech tried one finger anyway and it didn't look right - so I told her no. She muttered something under her breath and drilled it off. She then asked me to pick a color and I asked just to have the normal pink and white done, which she did just fine. She finished and I went to pay. They asked at the front desk how I liked my nails, which I was honest and said they weren't what I wanted. The gentleman at the front kept repeating what I said, and the woman at the desk apologized twice, but nothing else was done. The nails I left with aren't terrible by any means, but it's a little disheartening to pay $88 on an "okay" experience and nails you didn't have your heart set on.
