The service department at Earnhardt Honda, specifically service manager Chris Szewc and manager John O'Connor blatantly lied to us in August of 2014 concerning our oil consumption issue with our 2010 Honda CRV, notifying us that our oil usage was "normal". We were burning though 3 quarts of oil per 3000 miles.
Honda has since recalled the vehicle (engine) due to high oil consumption and repairs have been made under this warranty (by another dealership), validating our concerns. American Honda (national) has apologized but we have never heard from Earnhardt Honda regarding this.*
This issue was both aggravating and costly for us. Hopefully management will take constructive steps to better educate these two employees to eliminate future occurrences.
*We experienced the same situation with Showcase Honda
