Truly disappointing! Let's start with the service. Our server was just a blow hard. He put the hard sell on the stone crab which is really overpriced and virtually impossible to eat after being obliterated in the kitchen. The crab was hit with the mallet so hard that is was infused with countless little pieces of shells. Not good eats. We picked a California "Cabernet" from the wine list. The server boasted that it was a big full flavored cab. The sommelier actually hid the bottle from us when she poured. Once we agreed that the wine wasn't turned, the sommelier ran off. Reading the bottle it was obvious that it was a blend and not a true cab. The server kept calling our wives "young ladies" which is fine if you don't repeat it about 19 times during the meal. It just got awkward after a while. The fish entree's were luke-warm at best and my friend's filet was sizzler quality. My ribeye was actually cooked and seasoned perfectly salvaging the second star. There are so many great places in Vegas. Don't waste a night at Joe's.
