rev:text	The food is typically good, exactly what I would expect from a New York style deli, service on the hand; that's a whole other story and that's the basis for this review. Over the years I've lived in town, which has been since 1995, I've eaten at this place numerous times. Occasionally service is pretty good but most of the time the service is way off. Slow and poor. Today was no exception, the restaurant was fairly busy so we didn't mind waiting for a table, however it took an exorbitant long time to get our order taken once we were seated. The food came at a reasonable time but the order wasn't accurate. When we were ready to leave it took forever to finally get the check, we asked three people and sat for over 20 minutes trying to get somebody to get us a check; they wouldn't. We finally got up and waited in line to pay at the counter. Once we got up to the counter to pay, which is something our waitress should have taken care of, the guy ringing just walked away!! That leaves one person at the register and a whole extra line of people. I'm never going back regardless of whether I like the food or not. The service is so poor for what you pay there's just no reason to go there anymore. Plus: I find them to have a horrible attitude towards consumers. Notations on the menu like "one check per table, no splitting checks", "$2 charge for plate splitting"... Little rules and irritants. On the surface these dont sound like big deals but when you couple it all with their poor service and their generally snotty attitude...well, screw 'em; I don't need 'em.
