Desert botanical gardens is located north of Van Buren off Galvin Parkway in Phoenix. I have been a member here for multiple years and it is one of the best gifts I could've ever received every Christmas. Glassblowing by Dale Chihuly is being featured here until May 2014. Admission is currently $22 but a membership for one year is $75 which gets you free entry. I come here probably 50 times a year to see all the different flowers and cactuses that bloom throughout the different seasons.... This place is absolutely spectacular and is truly a Phoenix gem! For those people who say all Cactus look the same they're clearly uneducated and close minded (look at the photographs I have posted and tell me if they look the same and boring). Whether you are going early in the morning to walk around and relax by yourself (early entry on Wednesdays and Sundays for members only) or you were taking friends or family to the garden to socialize in a breathtaking environment, this is the place for you. New restaurant name Gertrude's was opened this year and is pretty good. Tell them it's your birthday and they will cook you homemade donut holes with three different dipping sauce that are absolutely to die for. Shhhhh
Beware of old, super rude photographers (regulars who think they own the place) that fail to realize our membership fees give us every right to enjoy the garden from early entry until close.
These guys attitudes are a cancer and will ruin your day.
Been a member here for half a decade and they are getting more crotchety each year.
