rev:text	Located in downtown, across from the Cavaliers arena, Progressive Field is a nice place to watch a baseball game and in a very nice location. Accessible by public transportation on the Red Line of the RTA, at the Tower City stop. It takes you into the Tower City Center, which is a shopping mall. And from there, a walkway called the Walkway to Gateway, allowing fans to walk from the mall to Quicken Loans Arena. You will have to go outside (obviously), to get to Progressive Field, which is only a block away. Originally known as Jacobs Field, as it opened in 1994, and nicknamed "The Jake", this ballpark did once had the longest sellout streak in MLB history, of 455. In fact, that number got tired by the Indians, even though the record has been broken since then. And it has seen some really good teams over the years, having hosted the World Series twice in 1995 and 1997. Sadly, the Indians lost both of them. This was where the coldest game in World Series happened, Game 4 of the '97 World Series. In front of the center field entrance, there are a few statues, of Larry Doby, Jim Thome, and Bob Feller. Plus the numbers retired by Indians, and some of the pennants that they have won. There are good descriptions at each one of them. When going through that entrance, there is Heritage Park, which is the Indians Hall of Fame. As it would suggest, it has plaques of some of the greatest players in Indians history. There are also some plaques on the ground, commemorating the moments in team history. Definitely worth a look for baseball fans. Sitting along the third base side, you get a nice view of the scoreboard and downtown Cleveland. And good views of downtown and the Cuyahoga River from the concourse area. And in addition to singing "Take Me Out of the Ballpark" in the middle of the 7th inning, there is also a sing-a-long for "Hang On Sloopy" in the middle of 8th inning. A good location and a nice ballpark, and being very close to a shopping mall, where you can find cheaper places to eat, as well as some history, seeing a game at Progressive Field at night, is definitely a nice outing and worth doing for baseball fans.
