rev:text	We just got home from our weekend Staycation at The Westin. I was a little apprehensive after reading many negative reviews. We had stayed at another property last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. However, I had purchased a two night stay through Groupon for The Westin this summer. What a great weekend!! I was able to upgrade upon check in to a Luxury Suite. The room was beautiful. We had a living room with fridge, bar and patio. The bedroom also a patio. Loved the super tall ceilings, the bed was so comfortable and enjoyed being able to walk right outside of our patios to the water. We took advantage of both pools, the water slide, basketball, large checkers game, bean bag toss and kayaking daily. My son also did the SUP, although there was a charge for that. The property is beautiful. At night, they light all the bonfires and you can do s'mores. I read previous reviews talking about the cockroaches and there were many but you're in the middle of the dessert next to the water!! Never saw one inside. My only disappointment was when I went to the coffee shop that advertises they proudly sell Starbucks. I ordered my frappuccino with an add shot on top (affogato). That way I know I get the full shot since they charge extra for it. When handed my drink I could tell it wasn't right. When I asked the girl about it, she said "oh, I don't know how to do that"... An add shot on top?? Really?! Hmmm, okay then! Other than that, we may definitely return here next summer for our annual Lake Las Vegas Staycation!
