As a holiday inn employee I would never write a negative review bashing my company.....BUT....t was utterly disgusted by the way this hotel treated me! After driving 5 hours to get to Phoenix for a family funeral I attempted to check in. The lady at the front desk was so rude to me and refused to accept my netspend card stating that it was company policy EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD ALREADY CHARGED FOR THE ROOM AND EVERYTHING WAS PAID IN FULL! I explained that I was a fellow employee and have used the same card at every holiday inn I have evr stayed at and she called her general manager. He gave me the same story and blamed it on company policy. I WORK FOR THE SAME COMPANY! I asked him if he could take a deposut on the card as I was only staying for the night and he refused. I then asked about a refund and they told me it would take 5 to 7 business days! I was in a city 5 hours from home with nowhere to stay and out the money I had budgeted for lodging.....not to mention 2kids and my sister in the car! My bottom line is if they treat fellow employees like that I cant imagine how they treat regular customers.
