  • It helps if you know if your event is located in the North or South hall of the convention centre (whether you go by cab, rental car or monorail). It is a large facility so any way to save some walking is good. The monorail is closer to the South Hall side and requires walking across the parking lot so it's not super convenient. Cabs from the Palazzo Hotel (where I was staying) to the CC was between $9-$12 per trip. I was a bit disappointed with the CC as it was a bit dated and needs to be refreshed. It's actually quite bland and non-Vegas like. There is a Starbucks inside but jeez, that line never ends. And as other have mentioned before the food here sucks a**. Shopping malls and some airports have better food options. Aramark runs the main food court here - there's some salad bar (no thanks with all those people walking by it), burgers, chicken fingers and sandwiches. Around the corner offers a Sbarro and a Nathan's Hot Dog. Meh. I ordered some grilled chicken burger with a side of fries plus water and it came to $11. The best part was the old guy assembling my order, I asked him to give me just half the portion of fries because I didn't want to waste it. He was annoyed at my request and mumbles to me "if you don't eat it, throw it away!" Wow...that's customer service. The chicken burger was gross and the best part was my bottled water and fries...in hindsight I should have asked for the full portion of fries. They need to increase seating in the food court, it was a fight for seats and my conference wasn't even that big. So be prepared to have people joining your table if you have some empty seats. Lots of people sitting on the floor around the CC area too. For such a large space, they really need to add more seating!
