On Thanksgiving Sunday afternoon I decided to randomly walk around the Pacific Mall to select a salon. Based on price for Women's hair cut and wash and volume of customers waiting. I was taking a big risk since I was tight on time that day. As I was attempting to find a stylist to style my hair with curls for the wedding later that day.
After walking around up and down the mall for 20-30mins I decided to walk up to the front desk to ask for the price for hair cut. The lady who was standing near the desk looked at me when I was asking in English then turned the young guy sitting at reception desk. He answered $35 and I asked to get my hair cut now. Then he asked me what kind of stylist I wanted. Not sure if this place ranges for level of experience with prices. I just said "Junior stylist" and I wanted to keep it safe within my budget. Not sure how this place works especially with my impression from the employees at first. I was then asked to follow him as he escorted me to hang up my coat. I was given the plastic hair cut gown. Then told to walk over to one of the chairs. I sat down and the stylist walked over to discuss the job expectations. He asks to speak in Chinese but I rather use English. He brings out the giant mirror to tell me what he suggests and asks how much to be trimmed. I needed 1 inch cut off and styled with curls. After we discussed the details I was asked to get my hair washed by the young lady. I got a nice head massage :) I am satisfied with my layer thinned out hair cut style and the classy curls styled at the end. I would come back again next time but they had a crowd line up so it must be good.
