| - The Bathurst Carwash is a well-designed do-it-yourself station of productivity. Feeling like you haven't accomplished much today? Head to the Bathurst Carwash and make your car sparkling clean with your own hands. SO satisfying.
The Carwash has a set of vacuum stations behind 8 washing stations. There's ample room and it's easy to maneuver your car from one to the other. The vacuum station (very helpful for apartment dwellers like me who can't easily swing a vacuum to my alley parking spot) is $1 for about 2 minutes. I managed to vacuum the entire interior of my car with $3.
Then, on to the washing station. The owner, Edward, a smiley gentleman with a big, brown moustache, came by to help me out. I got to pretend I was a fireman, shooting a high-pressure hose with soapy water on my dirty winter-worn car. Then, a brush with pink, foamy soap oozing out, helped me scrub my car clean. Finally, a high-pressure rinse and wax. Cost? $4.
As someone who spends a lot of time at a desk, I highly recommend car wash therapy. Not only is my car a lot cleaner, but my psyche is feeling healed and happy. Not bad for $7.
