| - I came here earlier today for my first ever eye exam and than glasses.
First the eye exam. My insurance co-pay was just 10.00, but they highly recommend the mauscope(30.00) and optomap retinal exam(44.00) as well. I'm still not sure how necessary that all was, so I got it anyways. In hindight, I may have just opted for the exam itself. The entire staff here was very friendly and pleasant, not to mention helpful. They answered all my questions thoroughly and didn't become agitated with me. The doctor was very informative as well, again answering my many questions without becoming short or annoyed. (I ask alot of questions!)
Got my prescription and off I go to choose frames! The staff on Lenscrafters side was so incredibly friendly and professional I was just blown away! Incredible. Everybody I interacted with was fantastic! Sandy was the assosciate that helped me the most and she was great! Very, very helpful in giving me all the info I needed since I was new to all this. She helped me chose my frames and told me that they would be ready in an hour. Lo and behold, I returned 61 minutes later and, just as promised, they were ready for me! Fantastic service! I didn't catch the name of the assosciate who assisted me when I picked up my glasses but she was great as well! Very helpful and informative!
I did knock one star off because initially I was given a prescription for progressive lenses that came to nearly 450.00! Whoa! A little too progressive for me! I thought the bifocals would be great for now, especially since it was my first pair. Sure enough we tried them and they've been great so far! And the bifocals came to 194.00 with my insurance, so much, much better.
I walked in there today with a bit of trepidation, as this location had only recieved 2 stars. I gotta say though, I was very impressed with the level of service I recieved here and will certainly let my friends and family know. Thank you LensCrafters!
