  • Marche Atwater (MA), along w/ Jean Talon (JT) , are my favorite Montreal markets (unoriginal observation!). I tend to favor MA more for meat and it has a nice and relatively quiet atmosphere. I also prefer the restaurant options and walking areas (including the Canal and bike trail) around MA relative to JT (I'm not a huge fan of the Italian restaurants I've tried near JT). With that said, most fruits and veggies at MA leave something to be desired.
