Checked out the lighted cactus garden with the family it has been years since I have been out here.
The gardens were lit with hundreds of bright Christmas lights. I especially liked the cascading white lights. The weather was perfect and it was great to see so many families out enjoying some quality time. They have added a few things to the experience as well. There is now a smaller ice skating rink and of course a viewing area to see Santa. There is a fee for the skating and if you want your photo with Santa. The hot chocolate is a bit pricy and although we bought some candy bars I felt the cost for a 16 piece box of assorted chocolates was a bit much. The caramel milk chocolate bar was very good and I would buy that again.
They offer chocolate tasting classes for an additional charge but you can certainly tour the facility and see chocolates on the conveyor belts and such for free which includes a sample of chocolate.
Lots of parking, family friendly and you can certainly get in the holiday spirit economically if you like because for the most part your experience will be FREE (cactus garden, tour, and free chocolate piece).
I highly recommend going and take your time while walking around.
