  • Every time I have friends come into town, I take them grocery shopping. Yes, really. I do. All thanks to this Heinen's. The store is amazingly beautiful. The murals on the walls, the amazing stained glass window. That kind of craftsmanship is so rare these days! This building truly is a symbol of Cleveland's "Golden Era." Now that's out of the way, let's talk about the groceries. I'll be honest, I actually don't stock up on weekly vittles at this place. My "normal" groceries- produce, pasta, meats, etc. are pretty expensive. I will, however, come here for lunch Monday - Friday. They have a wonderful salad bar as well as little stations for prepping quick rice bowls and made-to-order sandwiches and salads. Heinen's also has a good section of beers and wines. In fact, they have both on tap, which is awesome for someone like me who likes to try a sip of wine before buying an entire bottle. Beer and wine tastings seem to happen a few times a week. I've been to one wine tasting, and it was an excellent value. The guy pouring the wine certainly knew what he was talking about and was excited to share his knowledge.
