| - Now called the Eaton Chelsea, we met some friends who were staying here, so we had a chance to explore what the hotel offered. When entering, nothing really stood out. It was just another downtown hotel. Gotta be careful picking your elevator, as they only served specific floors. The second floor was undergoing major renovations, but staff did their best to keep the mess contained and out of sight of the guests.
One group had the "Family Fun Suite" up on the 26th floor. It came with 2 separate bedrooms, a kitchenette and a family area complete with xbox 360 and games for the little ones. They have 3 kids with special needs, so this was much appreciated. The other group was in a regular room with two queen beds. Nothing special here, but nothing to really complain about either.
The food from room service was good, and arrived in a reasonable time. We decided to take a break and bring the kids down to the pool on the 2nd floor so they could work off some energy. What's this? A water-slide... Well, their day was made! In fact, I think the adults had almost as much fun as the kids did.
All in all, a nice hotel with features that families with young kids can appreciate. Especially when you're stuck in town for those dreaded hospital visits. Anything to keep the mind distracted is a good thing.
