  • As my aunt has recently moved to Las Vegas, we've been looking for a reasonably-priced-but-not-terrifying-or-disgusting apartment complex to move into, and as soon as we were ushered in and greeted by Andrea, we knew Cabana on Dumont was where we wanted to be. We have heard from other tenants that the manager is rude and unprofessional, but it seems that for all of them (and most certainly for my aunt and I), Leasing Agent and Desk Representative Andrea is our saving grace. She listened to my aunt's story patiently and remembered precisely who we were and even sounded excited to see us again over the phone the following morning (which is more than I can say about many other complexes we toured around the city), which brought us back right away. She is helpful, bright, and ensures that the complex has the feel of what it is: an art haven. Andrea is entirely the reason my aunt signed a lease without reservation, and I hope this company recognizes what an asset her presence and energy are to their team. As Andrea guided us through the complex, she told us about its rich history: that Sammy Davis Jr. was forced to stayed there, as he had not been allowed to stay on the strip because of the horrors of segregation, and that the Rat Pack moved in with him as a statement that they did not support such treatment of one of their equals. With Sammy Davis Jr., the Rat Pack, and other Vegas entertainment staples having frequented the complex in its day, and those same artists' hang out, Champagne's, just around the corner, we knew it was the place for my aunt. Andrea seems to genuinely care for the property as if it were her own. She indulges its history, takes personally the repairs and upgrades around the complex (that, though plentiful, do seem to be underway), and knows the tenants by name. She was the first "real" person we found working in an apartment complex during our hunt, and it was her genuine interest in us that drew us back. We understand that the complex is older and has repairs to be finished and bugs to be eradicated (a difficult task on such an old Vegas street), but she has certainly made it feel like every question or concern we have is not only heard and on the handy-man's list, but is also important to her. I understand that she is not the manager, but she is certainly rectifying the problem I see in the many other reviews concerning the management. She has taken care of us, and we are grateful.
