  • So we wanted to upgrade the laundry room as it had the original 27 year old white laminate counter top and the top mounted sink that was just ugly as heck so we contacted the Granite Dude. First of all he returned our call within minutes of leaving a voice mail and even though this wasn't a big job he was willing to spend some time on the phone explaining the different thickness of granite, 2cm and 3 cm basically 3/4 and 1 1/4 inch thickness and the different price ranges of the different granite based on the quanity of a particular stone that is being mined and where it comes from. So with a new knowledge set in hand we picked out a nice piece of stone and proceeded with the job. We got a call about two weeks later that the install was all set for the following day at approximately 2 pm if that was ok and it was. The installer showed up a little early and proceeded to remove the old counter top, I had already disconnected the sink they don't do plumbing, measure and cut the counter top angle and install. I had added a little cabinet since talking to Matt and the installer, Luis, had brought along a little piece to put on top of that new cabinet. The back splash I wanted a little higher than the original and they had no problem making that happen now I don't have to paint where the old backsplash was, I hate painting. Nice new under mount sink smaller than the original as requested so there is more counter space. The crew were in and out in an hour and a half cleaning up after themselves and hauled away the old countertop. Perfect job, perfect ft of the angled backsplash and the little piece on the new cabinet is awesome. Can't recommend these guys any higher than five stars but I wish the scale went higher. If you need granite or any type of counter top these are the guys to go to. Professional, on time, on price point and easy to work with.
