| - When it comes to auto mechanics, I generally never have anything nice to say. That is not the case with Keith, his wife, and the rest of the crew at Interstate Auto.
If you've ever experienced a dealership service center (or some other dishonest mechanic), you're probably used to the BS/false sense of urgency of replacing stuff you don't need or have for ungodly amounts of money...that's what happened to me. My Lexus dealer told me my brake pads were completely out and running down my rotors 6 MONTHS AGO! They then quoted me an obscene amount to replace them and told me if I didn't act right then and there, the cost of damages would increase exponentially. They even told me I'd likely need to replace the rotors because there wasn't enough room to remachine them...I took my car to two other shops, including Interstate. After inspecting my car, Keith personally called me to let me know I still had up to 30% pad left and did not recommend changing them out for another few months. Furthermore, remachining the rotors would be no problem because there was plenty of room left...when I asked how much the job would be, it was literally 25% the cost of what Lexus quoted me...
If your sick of dealership service centers or the typical a-hole mechanic trying to nickel and dime you every chance you get, come visit the crew at Interstate (and at the very least, get a second opinion)...I'll be a lifelong customer!!
