  • Best experience I've ever had at an auto repair/service center, HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them! I was in Vegas on a little getaway trip with my wife and 2 year old but our trip had come to an end and on 11/22/2017 it was time to head back home. I had gotten on the 15 south headed back to LA when not to long after leaving Las Vegas I was approaching the Sloan exit and noticed the tire pressure warning light on my dash come on, wanting to make sure everything is okay I pulled to the shoulder of the freeway just before the Sloan off ramp and inspected my tires, I realize the front left tire has what looks like a small nail that has gone through. Not wanting any possible complications on the way back home I start looking up possible tire repair shops near me and find 2 Firestone Complete Auto Care locations within about 10 minutes of me, I feel good about this because back home this is where I service all my cars including the one I am writing about right now and where I bought all four of it's Firestone tires and bought some sort of road trouble warranty for them which includes patching up the tires. So I call one of them and the guy basically tells me it'll be a while until he can help which is not what I'm looking for because my family and I have to get home, so I call the other Firestone Complete Auto Care location and they put me on hold as soon as they answer, after 4 minutes of waiting I give up and hang up. I'm very frustrated at this point but thankfully my wife in the meantime has been looking up places on her phone and shows me one she thinks I should call, for whatever reason I am a little reluctant to do so but I do it anyway. I call Ted Wiens Tire & Auto on 4435 W Wigwam Ave which is the one my wife has suggested and I'm basically told that I can be taken care of as soon as I get there. So I start my GPS and head straight over there but on my way over there my wife and I all of sudden start hearing a strange noise coming from the front right of the car, I'm close to the shop but I pull over anyways to check it out. I look underneath the car and notice that some plastic covering has come loose and is scraping the ground as I drive. Thankfully and coincidentally I am already driving to a car shop so I just kind of try and temporarily put it back in place and keep driving. I arrive and I am indeed taken care of right away, they check out the tire and don't think it'll be possible to patch it up because of how close the nail is to the edge of the tire. At first I was being helped out by two technicians but by this point I am mainly being helped out by one whose name I did not get and really regret not doing... he's probably in between he's 20's and 30's, caucasian male and was wearing either glasses or goggles. He decides to take the tire off the car and inspect it more and see what can be done, he pulls the nail out and realizes it didn't really penetrate much at all and tells me that most likely the tire pressure light had come on because the tire was filled double the correct tire pressure. When he says that it comes to me that it's my own fault... it's another long story I will not get into but basically in my own ignorance and rush to leave home and get started on the road trip I overfilled all four tires! He brings the pressure on all four tires back down to the correct PSI and finally takes care of the loose plastic covering problem for me. I cannot say enough how thankful I am for the extremely fair, honest and professional service I was provided with. I credit this technician in good part, which again I hate not having gotten his name, with getting my family and I back home safely. Once again this is truly the best experience I've had at an auto repair/service center and wish I had them back home so I could dump Firestone Complete Auto Care. Sorry for the really long "review" but I felt it necessary..
