| - **Update** #2 9/7/16
So I came home tonight to a notice on my door from the an attorney dated 9/2 (awesome way to be prompt!) for the apartments telling me that due to numerous complaints from MANY neighbors that I was disturbing their "peaceful", quiet lifestyle here I was in violation of my leased threatening eviction. Well, I'm not the one making the racket, but logic, rationale and common sense are missing in this complex. Apparently since I expect the upstairs neighbors to supervise their toddler, meaning don't SLEEP for 2-3 hours while your child is awake and wandering around alone or leave your child alone in the apartment now I'm a problem and interfering in the life the of the upstairs neighbors. According to Luann, CPS and the police have no issue with children being left alone and/or unsupervised. I find that hard to believe. However, these are the kind of nitwits who leave lighters, matches and guns laying around etc. I also talked to other neighbors who advised that they DID NOT make any complaints against me, so someone is being untruthful and I know who my money is on. So after talking to Luann and getting conflicting information it's clear this is about someone being VERY upset because they got called out on very unprofessional and discriminatory remarks that were made to me on 8/29 and the ongoing unprofessional behavior. It's sad that MP thinks they can disguise clear discrimination by trying to make me the bad tenant. This reflects the true character of the staff and the property management.
**Update**
I notice that the old reply from Greystar (previous management company) "automatically" pops back up from my deleted review in 2015, but nothing from the previous review from me? Nice.
*Original Review 8/29/16*
I moved to MP in 2015, things were smooth for awhile until we got some obnoxious upstairs neighbors. Management actually had the nerve to tell me that said tenant was "a doctor, so he/his family couldn't possibly have been loud, rude and defacing my property" until I caught it on video. Not really sure what him being a doctor had to do with anything.... When MP was faced with losing a tenant who didn't cause problems and paid on time/early every month (me) then they wanted me to stay and moved me to another apartment, of course while collecting assorted fees. The offer to move me was probably also in response of a very negative review that was posted which I was asked to remove. Staying here and removing the review were not my best choices, unfortunately the best I could do at the time.
Well, they got revenge by putting a couple with a young child (and now a baby) upstairs. A couple who is actually renting through sub-letting, which is against the rules but again there was a staff member with a big mouth. Now they deny that is the case or that it was even said and the big-mouthed staff member has been "moved" to another office. Of course I'm the bad guy for expecting a little peace and quiet between the hours of 6:30 am-9:00 pm at least 1-2 days a week when I'm home from work. The times I have said anything I'm made to be the bad guy and told I should have moved into an upstairs apartment even though it would be dangerous for me and the manager Luann has been told this MANY MANY times. Maybe I'm wrong for thinking it's dangerous to me and other residents to leave your child unattended while you sleep or leave your apartment but I don't think so. I know this after 3+ hours of horrible noise then the "father" admitting that he'd barely gotten up and no the mother hadn't been home. Great. Sometimes I fear I'm going to home to an apartment burned to a crisp.
Now Luann has resorted to telling me that I'm a problem tenant, I don't have a disability (glad she knows this, I'll inform my doctor ASAP!) and that I need to move into a house. When MP and/or Luann deposits the check into my bank for this to happen I'll gladly buy the house. Until then probably not going to happen.
Last but not least be very careful if you go into the office if John is working. I went in with questions about a notice I had received. Well, he can be rude to you all he wants but if you
tell him to stop he apparently doesn't like it. I was leaving the office, after he told me I couldn't talk to my husband IN the office if he wasn't allowed to eavesdrop, as I tried to close the door he yanked it OUT of my hand so hard I was literally yanked back almost off my feet. My arm hurt for almost 2 weeks. I contacted the management company and Luann when she came back to the office. She dismissed it saying it wasn't inappropriate as he was "stressed". I'm stressed everyday, that doesn't make that kind of behavior ok.
Avenue 5 (the management company) doesn't answer their phones, respond to messages or e-mails. They will answer a message on FB with a "generic" message but everything is referred to the property so you're hosed if you want anything done. Basically they just want a check.
