Apria Healthcare really worked miracles today. Partnered with Aetna (neither of whom received paper work until close to a patient's release date) a wheelchair was made available. The folks staffing the lines are incredibly polite, efficient and helpful. They clearly explained the steps required to obtain medical equipment.
'Ya got to have a checklist. Bu·reauc·ra·cy.
Insurance can slow you down. Care centers. Especially the day before Thanksgiving.
Apria customer support can give you a checklist. But really - they can get you medical equipment! And (!) show you how everything works. And (!) help you load a car. (I was there. I do bootcamp! I could have done it. But thank you!)
High fives peoples! Thank you. We appreciated the phone service + the incredible in-person service while picking up a wheelchair. If we weren't in such a rush those gosh darn waiting room chairs are plush. (I bet people steal them!)
This review is for a retail branch. But it's more so for the overall hand holding level of service provided. Things failed elsewhere. But you guys really - really - followed up once Aetna said, "Oh no's!". It's too bad regular shopping isn't available. We scooped up a shower chair for a steal. Products can only be "purchased" if a doctor has written a script for it.
Thanks again for everything!
