| - Look for a teal neon rabbit's head for this lounge-type bar away from the Strip.
A group of my friends and I came here to start off our night of drinking before heading to Fremont. Inside is dimly lit with comfortable Victorian-style furniture arranged around the room, that adds a different kind of class to the place.
Along with the great list of craft beers on draft, they have a unique seasonal cocktail list with interesting ingredients that seem to work well with each other. The mixologists behind the creation of these drinks are very talented, and it shows through the tasty flavors of each drink.
One thing that caught my eye was the Dorian Grey. It's made with: earl grey-infused vodka, coconut cream, honey, and lemon. I really liked the fact that coconut cream is incorporated in this drink because usually you only find it in tropical-like drinks, like a piƱa colada. It was creamy, slightly sweet, and had a refreshing piquant citrus taste from the lemon. There's a noticeable tea flavor present that goes surprisingly well with the sweet cracker that came with it. Very creative twist.
One other person in my group ordered this same drink and it came in a rocks glass while mine came in a... teacup? I guess it's one of those optical illusions where the amount of liquid in both cups is equal, but optical illusion or not, I wanted my glassware to be less, uh... dainty? That was the only gripe of mine lol.
If you're looking for a different type of bar experience other than the glitz & glam of the fancy cocktail lounges on the Strip, then jump into the rabbit hole and pay the Velveteen Rabbit a visit.
