| - I first moved into Pebble Cove because of how close it is to my work. On my first walk through I thought the complex to be a pretty decent one compared to the two neighboring ones. I had a good experience with both the manager, Kimmie, and the maintenance men. However, about a month into my lease I quickly realized that I would be wanting to move when my lease ended. (Thankfully, I had signed what I believed to be a 6 month lease) I live directly in front of the playground, and right across the lot from the managers apartment. Her children (& every child in the complex) are loud and obnoxious, constantly cursing, running back and fourth in front of residents doors, climbing on cars and acting way too out of line to be the managers children. They all seem to be un-parented little a**holes. The front patios are all shared and my neighbors from a few doors down are constantly out front smoking and yelling back and fourth. They are full-grown adults who hang out with the terrible complex children and like to have BB gun battles with them, encouraging them to scream and yell in front of neighbors doors. The entire front area near their door is stained black from them spitting, we are on the second floor and the stair case on their side of the building is constantly covered in spit, trash and cigarette butts, and they are constantly throwing their trash over the balcony, including dumping hot bacon grease onto the sidewalk below. Maintenance is really not that great. If you call the "Emergency Number" on the weekends you will be told it is their day off and to wait until Monday.
My favorite part is that I was originally told by the manager, Kimmie, that they offer 3, 6 or 12 month leases and I signed (what I thought to be) a 6 month lease. I must admit I am at fault for skimming through it and not just reading the entire thing, but I was in a rush to move and had been talking with Kimmie long enough to think I could trust her word. I went to check on my lease ending date so I could give my notice to move, and to my surprise I see that my lease states 7 months. Now I find out the complex doesn't offer anything other than 7 and 12 month leases. I know it is my fault for not reading entirely, though it is ridiculous that the manager of the complex would say a 6 month lease existed in hopes I would do exactly what I did and not read the lease.
I would never recommend this complex to anyone, the management team is terrible, the maintenance could be so much better, and a good amount of the tenants (Including the manager and her family) are the worse neighbors you could ever imagine.
(I cannot yet speak on the management company, Gillespie Properties, I am awaiting their call back in response to my complaints.)
