| - This place makes you miss the Strip and the real Las Vegas. I do not know what this area is, but I hated being here.
I stayed for two nights and was generally unhappy about it.
The entire casino and hotel either reeks of smoke or lets you know that a smoker has been there before you. Even in my non-smoking room, smoke permeated through the walls and I could smell cigarettes at random times. The casino floor was the absolute worst, okay there may be some places in Downtown Vegas that can compete, but this was egregious. I felt cancer saying 'Hello' to my lungs, it was that bad. They seriously need to fix their ventilation. I cannot believe Nevada has not outlawed this barbaric practice.
The slots are very unfriendly, as were EVERY single worker I encountered. This place definitely caters to the nearly-dead crowd. So, if you are anything but ancient, be prepared to get the sense you don't belong. You will also rudely get carded and followed around by security and coppers. Judging books by covers, some patrons seemed like criminals looking to commit crimes--you know, people that look like they were addicts at one point in the recent past and stare at you while you handle money.
There were several positive things. The bed was comfy, The shower head was perfect. They have an actual tub, if you were inclined to take a bath. They provided a mini-fridge. All good things end with that. The rooms with 2 double beds are compacted. The TV remote is non-responsive. They don't provide any bars of soap, just weird liquid soap dispensers. No coffeemaker. No microwave. Few outlets.
Not planning on returning to Eastside Cannery, nor Henderson.
