It's unfortunate for these animals, but don't waste your time with this place. My family bonded with a senior cat that had been there for at least two years, but after leaving numerous messages and getting the runaround with unfilled promises to call me back "the next day" more than once, we gave up. Went into HALO, picked out a wonderful cat and got it to its happy home and family for half the adoption price of ABC within an hour. Animals Benefit Club has an incredibly poor inefficient and ineffective business model and the animals pay the price. I'm wondering if the owner is actually an animal hoarder who really has no intention of finding these animals homes.
