Do you want to sign up for a membership? Or maybe some massage add-on? No, really, let me ask again. Annoying much? Well... That's how I felt after visiting this location last week.
I decided to treat myself to a birthday massage after seeing their $59 hour massage special.
I called to schedule an appointment and was clear on the phone that I did not want any add ons. I wanted to stress this at the first after reading some of the other reviews. It seemed that they staff might be a little pushy or not clear about what was an add-on versus something that was included.
From the moment I walked in until I left I was asked about add-ons or a membership over 5 times. I totally understand that this is how they make their money, but I had been very clear at the beginning and the staff would even start it off by saying that they've noticed I didn't want any upgrades. Why yes, thank you, I know what I'm doing.
The massage itself was pleasant and I did feel pretty good after but it wasn't the most amazing session of all time. Maybe If I had gotten one of those add-ons! There were aromatherapy sprays that were used during the session which were pleasant enough but it made me wish she was using oils or lotions infused with the aromatherapy instead of just randomly spraying it.
While checking out, they did try to push the membership option again which is waived after the first introductory price session and kept any future massages at the same price. It's an interesting model but I see massages like a treat and not as something I necessarily get every month.
