| - Years ago, I did a road trip to Hershey, PA to see an AHL playoff game. As I drove into Hershey, I could smell a hint of chocolate. I pretty much followed my nose to Hershey's Chocolate World and have been a fan ever since.
I have only been to a grand total of three Hershey's Chocolate World stores. I visited Shanghai last May and Las Vegas in July 2015.
This Hershey's Chocolate World is located in New York, New York Hotel and Casino. You can't miss the kisses and brightly lit signs.
What is special about this store is that it has its own bakery. My friend and I indulged in getting s'mores and a double chocolate cookie sandwich with a cute mini Reese's peanut butter cup on top. These desserts were huge, decadent, and yummy. I also got a Rice Krispies treat on a stick that was covered in Hershey's chocolate with sprinkles. As expected, prices can run a bit high here, but you can save when you buy more and split them with friends.
My friend ended up getting huge chocolate bars for her students. They were heavy to hold!
I enjoyed looking at the merchandise and candy. I ended up getting gum and candy. You can also get Jolly Ranchers, Reese's, and other brands besides Hershey's. The problem with getting chocolate when it's hot on a Vegas July day is that it melts. You do need an insulated cooler bag or put them in a safe, cool place.
The Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey, PA will always have my heart, as it's the original. However, this one in Las Vegas is second on my list of awesomeness. The one in Shanghai was much smaller and did not have a bakery.
I'd come back. Where there's chocolate and candy, there's me.
