  • I went to EMG today for my second haircut of the day. My first and last haircut at 5 Star Barber was about an hour before arriving at EMG. I wanted a simple side part fade starting with a two and working up to a three, four and five and a finger cut on top. Five star had me in and out of the seat in less than ten minutes and without the cut I desired. Arlene at EMG on the other hand listened attentively to my distress, asked great questions and provided options to fix and repair the damage. We ended up going so much shorter than I had originally planned, but the end result was the gradual fade and look I was hoping for. Arlene nailed it. Arlene took the time to define the part first and foremost, Israel at 5 star did not. Arlene went through five to six different clipper heads to gradually complete the fade. She stopped throughout the cut and we checked to ensure we were moving in the right direction. We were a team. Though I have never worn my hair this short, I have to say I am more than pleased with it and may go even shorter the next time. I can say without hesitation, this is the best barber cut I have ever received in Arizona and I have lived here since 1987.
