  • I do not like to write negative reviews, but I believe as a consumer, fellow car drivers out there BEWARE!!! So upset again with this company. I was recommended to Gerber initially by my insurance company for collision repair. We are currently on our 9th go-back issue!! NINTH!! I have had MANY issues with their workmanship, including an ongoing door lock wiring issue that they now are claiming they do not want to cover!!?! First off, they had my vehicle for just under the 30 day mark from my initial collision date. And then almost for a full 2nd month they had my vehicle again, in and out of the shop to repair their repairs??! Not even 2 days after having my vehicle I had to take back due to having a "Service engine soon" light come on. Gerber ran a diagnostic check, multiple times, getting the same code, for "vacuum leak". They would just reset the code, stating there was nothing wrong. They kept denying there was an issue until AFTER MY 6TH time returning my vehicle and requesting they have the dealership check it. The Nissan dealership discovered it was a crimped hose during the re-installation of parts, causing a vacuum leak and also causing an idling issue. That was just the service engine soon/idle issue, not including I also had to take back my vehicle during the first 6 times due to poor repair and workmanship on side molding, missing parts, not tightening my step bar correctly (went back 3 times for that...) and now a wiring issue that was all part of the initial damage and/or replacement of parts from my accident. It is very unfortunate that I am STILL DEALING WITH THESE issues from MAY 2016 and now being denied ONCE AGAIN to have their faulty workmanship covered as the dealership stepped up again to fix their work!!!! And the manager, Bill, nor the estimator Jordan, have even gone to the dealership which is literally a 5 minute walking distance to see what was causing the latest wiring issues. Just a flat out no we are not covering it and for me to contact my insurance company again basically wanting me to file another claim or I have to pay out of pocket for these repairs... Really? Please, as a mother, and a truck owner, I value my vehicle. BEWARE OF GERBER!!! We have had family trips cancelled MULTIPLE TIMES, including this Thanksgiving weekend due to my truck being in the shop to fix what SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED IN THE 1st 30 DAYS they had my vehicle??!! I will also be reporting this company to the BBB. It's unfortunate I have to take these actions but these repair shops cannot keep getting away with these half arsed repairs and charging our insurance companies an insane amount!
