| - Very hyped, nothing special, and really long line ups + wait time.
If you haven't tried Japanese cheese cake, then I guess it is worth the while to get some since it's freshly made. But for me, it isn't worth the wait.
I've had the cheesecake before at the downtown location (they serve the cheesecake in flavours like green tea and chocolate) ~ honestly, just go during working hours and there will be no line ups.
If you are there at a bad time, you may be waiting hours for a single cake.
I came to this location thinking I would get a cheesecake for my sister to try, but after learning that their wait time was an hour, plus around 15 people ahead of me, I thought to avoid waiting for over an hour and to go for their madeleines.
They have a separate line for madeleines and ice cream. They had many flavours - green tea, black sesame, blueberry, chocolate, and lemon honey. I did not try the lemon honey as I figured I would know what they taste like. Madeleines were buy 3 get 1 free, which totals to about $9. The madeleines that I bought weren't too sweet - which is awesome. The odd thing is their sizes... they are very uneven.. some are bigger/smaller than the others - I know, you can't perfect at pouring!
The flavours that I enjoyed was the green tea and blueberry. I would not recommend the chocolate as it tasted just like a box made chocolate cake.. the black sesame was an acquired taste - my parents liked it.
Buyer beware: if you are just there to buy madeleines/ice cream, and there is a long line of people waiting for the cakes - beware of the death glares and "wtf" looks that you will get. :P (I am not kidding).
