  • If you're looking for a chill, down-to-earth hangout and tire of sports bars, crappy concert venues, and Jello shots, Warden Norton and Andy Dufresne were right: "Salvation lies within"...The Barking Spider, that is. This cozy but festive little tavern on the Case campus is reminiscent of a small Irish Pub...lower ceilings, comfortable lighting, great live music (this night was a sort of Bluegrass), people dancing, and a surprisingly delightful beer selection (and pretty reasonably priced). A packed house didn't hinder attentive service from the bartenders either! I loved this place the minute I walked in the door -- and, as long as you're not out looking for the Miller Lite girls, you probably will too!
