  • I'd give this place a 3.5/5 I'm a loyal customer of another lash technician but she is currently on leave for two months so I was scrambling to find another place to get my lash extensions. I went to see Pauline at Hey Sexy Look due to the reviews. The salon is located in a strip mall north of Steeles/Bayview. The salon is well decorated - cute and feminine - and most importantly, clean. Pauline, the owner, was my technician. To make an appointment online, I had to pay for the service with my cc first. I've never had to do this before but it's not a big deal. I did take advantage of the 10% off upon check in, so the difference I just used towards the tip. Started the appointment off with a brief consult. I've been getting lash extensions for at least two years so I was familiar with the lengths, curls and styles. I told her what I usually get and mentioned wanting a doe eyed look, something to open my eyes. She seemed to understand what I wanted. There is calming piano music playing throughout the appointment. Pauline was gentle and I was falling in and out of sleep during the appointment. The appointment ended up taking a lot longer than I expected; for 70lpe it took 2 hours! I get 100lpe in about 1-1.5 hours. Pauline said it was because the lashes would not bond to my left eye, which never happened to me before, so that was odd. She did advise if my lashes shed in the next couple of days to inform her and she'd fix them, so that was comforting to know. I didn't end up liking the outcome. She selected the L curl lashes which were too obnoxious for my liking. I wish she would have asked and showed me the L lash before picking it for me. At her price point, I only got the "natural" set (whereas at my lash tech it would be equivalent to a full/glam set)so it was not full and I didn't have any extensions on the outer corners of my eyes. When it comes to extensions, the ultimate test for me is how long they last. I don't wear make up so I'm usually pretty good for 3 weeks. I really take care of my lashes. Most of my lashes from this appointment fell out within 2 weeks. I enjoyed my experience but I wouldn't return. For this price point, I can get comparable service with more options and bang for my buck. Longevity of the lashes didn't do it for me either.
