  • I wish it were possible to give minus five stars. I wanted to establish a relationship with a doctor in my new neighborhood in Scottsdale, AZ. and to get a referral for a mammogram. I was given an appointment with Dr. Tamara Djurisic. The best thing I can say about my first (and last) visit is I had a very short wait to get an appointment and to meet with the doctor. Guess she isn't very busy! She sat down and had two young trainees or assistants taking notes on notepads. She asked a few questions and if I were exercising. I told her my routine. When I told her everything was fine except my neck was usually sore, she laughed, still in her chair, and said maybe I was exercising too much. Never checked my neck. After establishing verbally that I was in good health, and before blood exam, she told me to come back in six months for a follow up. Since it was a wellness check with good results I couldn't help but wonder what we were following up on. (I am also aware that Medicare will only cover one well visit a year, perhaps the follow-up is to the doctor's advantage.) Then the blood work - the most painful draw I have ever had with the excruciating pain lasting the entire length of the draw, blood dripping down my arm. The tech apologized and said it didn't usually happen. I refrained from saying it had never happened in my many years. My arm was swollen, painful and bruised for several days. Now to the reason I am upset enough to write this review. I received the summary from Medicare which showed the service provided as a wellness visit (true) then a charge for "behavioral counseling for alcohol misuse" another for "Alcohol Misuse Screening" and Annual Depression Screening". Billing Medicare for 15 minutes of each of these fabricated services. I called 4c's Billing Office and was told my question would have to be escalated to the supervisor. I also called to talk to Dr. Djurisic's assistant and was told he would call back. That was two days ago and I have received calls from neither. I have also tried to send a fax for two days and keep getting the report of "No Answer." I was assured by the office that the fax machine was operating and I had the right number. So now Medicare and Omaha Mutual think that I am an alcoholic with depression who needs behavioral counseling. Sounds like Defamation of Character to me. Go elsewhere! I seldom drink and haven't suffered from depression - but this would be a good reason to start.
