Simon has been dressing up and kitting out various subcultures in this town for at least twenty years (thirty?), he deserves a review. If you're looking for band shirts and don't want to go online (IE 'I feel like wearing a new band shirt today'), you have to go to Sunnyside and enjoy the Charisma experience. Lots and lots of shirts on hand. Multiple designs for most bands/artists on site. Don't forget to go upstairs, that's where I picked up my recent Miles Davis shirt. When the business was on Stephen ave. there was an inconsistency with the quality of printing. Not anymore! Along with shirts, Simon and his wife have a wide range of peripherals -- stickers, buckles, patches, jewelry et cetera. As well what would a head shop be without flasks and a few pipes?
As with Grassroots down the street, Charisma holds a particular niche for the community. It is family owned and run, and the money stays in the community. Good place! If you're walking down 10th st. pop in -- it's a nice visual change-up, if anything. And may just find that Miles Davis shirt you were looking up online...
