I went to Not Just Coffee because I was looking for a coffee shop that also had food and was a good place to work. NJC is neither-- they do not have food (at least not that you would have for a full meal), and they are in a large open market area (7th Street Market) that is definitely not conducive to working (despite having a "work zone"). The wifi boots you out every 30 minutes, it's loud, and there are very few places to plug in a computer. My friend actually left and went to the starbucks because he was so distracted. That all said, my latte was excellent! The friend I was with got the regular drip coffee, and he also said it was excellent. Not Just Coffee is poorly named-- you should only go for the coffee. The rest of the experience was disappointing.
If the weather is nice, you can sit outside! Go to hang out, not to work. Also, if you do want food, there are other nearby shops you can get good food at. I went to the crepere, and there was also a bakery and pizza shop.
