| - My family and I tend to always stay at Sunset Station and we are big time lovers of Starbucks. Knowing that this hotel had one inside, we were really excited because we could just go downstairs and grab a drink, without having to leave the hotel. The problem is that after so many visits here, we have encountered multiple problems, with today's visit being the catalyst. In the past, I've ordered an iced tea; hence the word "iced" and I end up with a room temperature tea, because the associate is too lazy to shake it in the shaker cup meant for shaking the teas, no less. Then we encounter attitudes, mostly from the black girl that works there, if we ask them to take it back and shake it; shaking them with the ice and any other ingredients makes them cold and mixes the ingredients. The teas are brewed all day and sit in pitchers, waiting for people to order them. Of course, brewing the tea, you use hot water and then once it's done, they use ice and/or cold water to dilute it. As it sits on the shelf, it's still hot and over time it becomes warm or room temperature.
So when you order an iced tea, you want it COLD!!! Just like when you order coffee, you want it HOT, unless you asked for an iced coffee! Instead, they mix all ingredients in your cup and throw ice on top, put the top on, swizzle it around with a little wrist action and hand it to you. Great! It's cold on top where the ice is, but when you put the straw in, it's warm tea at the bottom. How they can be mad because you ask them to take it back and shake it up is beyond me! Excuse the fuck out of me for wanting my iced tea COLD!!!
Fast forward to today, I asked for a blended treinta iced tea. I then asked for them to pour the rest of it (after it's blended) into another cup, so that I get ALL of my tea. I'm paying for a treinta, I want a treinta. Now, normally when I go to a "real" Starbucks, I ask the same thing and they have no problem pouring the rest into a "tall" cup, because as it blends, it's filled with foam from the ice and it rises and it's enough to fill a tall cup. The girl poured the remainder into a tiny cup, but there was still some left and instead of giving me all of it, she pours it out. I said to her that I asked for an extra cup, so that I can have all of my drink, to which she replies, "Oh, we can't use those cups. We have to use these smaller ones." The smaller ones are tiny, almost like a shot glass, just a little taller. So I said that she should have told me that, then and asked for a refund, because she and her snide remark kind of pissed me off. So she gets mad (bitch, please...I'll show you mad) as I am not even that upset and I was still nice about it, but then I was glad that I asked for a refund. She says nothing else to me, goes to the register to do something, then disappears in back. She never came back. No one said anything until I asked and at that time I was told that a manager was on their way to refund me.
The manager came and spoke to us...she knows me already and I explained what happened. Since the trick who made my drink went in back to pout, the other associate with tattoos on her chest and arms came over to "help" the manager locate the copy of the receipt. She seemed nice enough at first, but then she proceeded to argue with me about a receipt for "my" drink. I told her that I didn't take a receipt, yet she found one and swore it was mine! She said, "This one is yours. See, this is a treinta iced tea!" I said, "No, it's not mine! I paid cash, not MasterCard and this is not my name on this receipt!" Really?? You're going to argue with me about which receipt is mine, like I wouldn't know my own form of payment AND my name??!! So she gets mad and walks away, instead of apologizing for her mistake. Then to top it off, the receipt was my friends' who was behind me and all this girl did was SHOW US that SHE made the wrong fucking drink! He was sipping on a venti black tea lemonade, when he ordered a treinta! So she remakes his drink and doesn't even apologize for that!
They create their own problems. Where no one is upset or even has an attitude, they pull it out of you and make you mad because of their reactions at having to correct their mistakes! I'm the type to respond how you fucking act, so if you act like a fucking ass, I'm going to treat you like an fucking ass! I am not the kind of person to be all sweet and nice and you're trying to throw me your shitty salty ass attitude! I'll just go to a real Starbucks!
