  • Stayed in this hostel for a whole week with a rather large group of U.S.A. friends. Check-in and check-out processes were quite unusually long, because they had to inspect everyone's luggage. Was this because we were foreigners? Maybe they've had problems with foreign people stealing linens. After reading about the bedbugs... We don't want your linens! There were some small common areas which we spent much time in to do card games as a group, since the little rooms were mostly taken up by a couple of bunked beds and not much free space. Bar service on site was adequate and cheap. But I went elsewhere to do touristy things throughout the week. Location at King and Spadina had several walkable bar and restaurant options, and local streetcar service. Bathroom plumbing was pisspoor. We had frequent floods from stopped drains if more than one person took consecutive showers, which is oft the case with shared bathrooms, I'm afraid. I think we had to bring our own towels to the place.
