If you enjoy gardens - you should definitely check out DSBG. We went on a Sunday morning - the weather was perfect and there were not too many people there when we arrived. When we left - there were a lot more visitors.
Many flowers have already bloomed but there were still some gorgeous gardens filled with wonderful scents and color. DSBG presents many more flowers than other botanical gardens in a structured way. My favorite areas were the East Pergola which was filled with bright warm colored flowers including my favorite the Trumpet Vine - there was something about that walkway and the tall hedges connecting the two pergolas that reminded me of Provence and Giverny. The Canal Garden overlook was sold as "walking through a rainbow" - the plantings were grouped by color and in full bloom. The paint cans add rustic charm to the container gardens. There were plenty of areas to sit and take in the beautiful day at DSBG - one person was reading a book, others were celebrating "knitting in public day". The Orchid Conservatory is lovely - I have never seen anything quite like it - there were several walls within the conservatory that were just breathtaking.
