| - Despite its name, Dairy 'King' is a much smaller operation than Dairy Cream/Tom's Dairy Freeze. However, it offers the same product, re: soft serve, "hard" ice ceam (the usual flavoured stuff that you get at the grocery store), banana splits, sundaes, etc.
Since it's a seasonal operation, it's literally a order window, no indoor seating, and 3 picnic tables outside the window. So best to go when it's hot out!
Dairy King is literally on the outskirts of Port Credit, so convenient when you feel like soft serve, outdoors, and don't feel like driving all the way out to Cawthra/Lakeshore (Dairy Cream). Be warned, this particular spot is not much of a local hangout as there's no lot - just street parking - so there aren't kids blasting their sound systems, sitting on the roof of their cars. Great for the slightly older crowd/families who've been there, done that.
I got a regular sized twist soft serve, chocolate dip, and it was $3.50. Good enough size for sharing. I'd say it was more 80/20 chocolate:vanilla ratio, so if you gravitate more towards traditional vanilla, stick to vanilla.
