| - I encountered the Chimney Stax food truck at the Front Street Foods market at Adelaide Place (York and Adelaide) in summer 2016. Overall, it wasn't anything special, and was a bit pricey for what it was (for the sundae I ordered, anyway). Note that they sell both ice cream sundaes and sandwiches as a lunch option as well.
First, the service. Pretty friendly, and, despite being part of a market notoriously cash-only, they accepted debit/credit payments, which was nice.
Second, the product. I ordered the Crazy For Caramel Stax Sundae, and it was nothing I was overly thrilled with. The actual Stax was incredibly stiff and tough, I could barely bite into it. It wasn't warm or chewy at all (is it supposed to be? I'm not so sure, but even so, I could barely chew it), and it was a disappointing part of an equally mediocre ice cream sundae. The soft serve ice cream was creamy enough but melted very quickly (temperature wasn't as cold as I'd want it to be), and toppings were fine but not too generous.
Overall, probably wouldn't get this again. Pricey, and I didn't enjoy much of what I got. For one sundae, I paid almost $10.00.
