| - I COMPLETELY agree with Lawrence M., who commented on thyroid cancer and if you have it run away from this place as fast as you can. They are not current with treatment protocols. I'm a pharmaceutical rep, and I talk to doctors all day long and I can tell you this is not the place to be if you are really sick. Dr. Rudgear was HORRIBLE in that she was in such a hurry to answer my questions and get out of the room that she actually suggested that I go to Endocrinology Associates if I had more questions regarding my radioactive iodine therapy. By the way, if you go here and they tell you isolation is required for 6 days they are WRONG. It's only 2-3 days. Dr. Rudgear is so busy, you can't get an appt with her less than 6 weeks out. So, my care was being managed by Christy, the NP here, who is clueless. I asked her about an aggressive gene associated with thyroid cancer (BRAF), she didn't even know what it was. Christy hasn't been practicing in endocrinology long and definitely shouldn't be managing cancer patients. If you have uncomplicated diabetes, fine. But if you are really sick don't go to this practice. Dr. Rudgear is running a "for profit" practice and is definitely more focused on her anti-aging, medical weight loss, aesthetics services.
