If you need a hotel near the airport, this fits the bill, but doesn't offer much more beyond its faux shiny veneer.
Room: Like other aloft hotels I've stayed at, you can hear the people in the room next to you. There's only a window air unit, and considering it was February in Phoenix, the room was muggy. I don't think I'd consider staying here when it's even remotely hot if that's the only source of air conditioning for the room. The bed was also not that comfortable.
Food/Lobby: The bar actually served food until midnight. No room service so you have to come down, order and wait. Quality was on par with frozen food they pulled out of a bad and threw in a microwave. The grab and go sandwiches looked even worse. The free breakfast the next morning was lots of bread (muffins, danishes, bagels, etc) and coffee.
The location is also a little odd if you're driving in. You have to enter through the back of the parking lot. But it is close to the light rail if you're coming in that way. Overall, I think I'm done giving this brand a shot.
