  • Perfect location, great shuttle service, free breakfast. This hotel's location exceeded my expectations. LOCATION: Distances from the hotel if you're traveling for a Steelers game and doing a bit of shopping & site-seeing. Heinz Field: 4 miles Station Square: 4 miles Strip District/Senator Heinz History Center: 5 miles Duquesne Incline: 3.5 miles Gateway Clipper Terminal: 4 miles Airport: 15 miles (Uber $25ish) Giant Eagle: (grocery store) 1/2 mile away, its about a 5-10 minute walk to the opposite end of the parking lot (there's a few office buildings in between the hotel and Giant Eagle) SHUTTLE: Their shuttle will take you to all of the above places - it runs until 11pm. The shuttle leaves the hotel on the hour. They will also pick you up to take you back to the hotel but keep in mind there may be multiple pick ups. The driver will give you a business card with the contact number to call for a pick-up. We only had to take an Uber when the sign up sheet was already booked (it was about 3pm on a Saturday and we tried to get on the list for the 5pm shuttle but it was already full). All the staff/drivers were great, Eva was one of our favorites though. She's very engaging and also had good information on the places we wanted to visit. LOBBY - Nice seating area by the front desk. Wait here for your shuttle to leave - Flavored water and fruit (oranges) available all day. - A good assortment of take-out/delivery menus are available by the front desk - Vending machines had microwaveable options in addition to the regular candy, snacks, drinks. BREAKFAST: The usual assortment (juices, coffee, cereals, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs) plus cinnamon buns & a pancake conveyor belt machine. The hot items seemed to rotate between the following: bacon, sausage, biscuits 'n gravy, veggie omelette, cheese omelette TIPS: Sign up for the shuttle at the front desk as early as possible - space is limited. There seemed to be a ton of Steelers fans staying at the hotel, so just to be safe, we signed up for the Sunday shuttle to the Gateway Clipper ferry on Friday when we arrived. For the staff: Consider providing more shower gel. We had a family of 4 and received 1 bottle of shower gel. I was able to get a extra though.
