  • Our tenant spent more than four weeks waiting for Hawkeye Appliance Repair to fix her washing machine - Hawkeye Appliance Repair would send out inexperienced workers with the wrong tools who then improperly diagnosed the problem - three times I believe - or missed the appointments all together. It seemed they were constantly waiting for parts. Both my husband and I spoke to the owner, Yola, and found her to be petulant, unprofessional and rude. By the way, Yola has her employees tell people that she is the manager, we researched Hawkeye and found she is actually the owner. How curious to own a company but not be wiling to take responsibility. We fired Hawkeye and hired another company ABM Appliance Repairs who arranged to see my tenants washing machine and told her the machine was fine, the drain tube was just plugged up. After unplugging the drain tube, the washing machine works fine. No costly repairs or replacements were ever needed. Yola demonstrated to us that her interests are in creating imaginary problems in order to jack-up prices but is so incompetent that she is unable to follow through with her own ruse. We filed a complaint with the BBB .I am taking time out of my busy day to post this bad experience so good people like yourselves do not fall into the same trap. I do not recommend Hawkeye Appliance Repair to anyone.
