  • Terrible customer service until you tell them you're breaking up w them and you're going to their competitor!!! I have been a Cox customer for 20 plus years because there where no other providers where I live. Our rates just keep going up and up and our service never gets any better actually our service gets worse. our boxes are constantly going out needing reset/replaced as is same with our internet . The last time I called them because my mini box went out It was in November they wanted to send somebody out over Thanksgiving so I declined . because the time before that when I had somebody come out the guy stomped around threw a fit because it was taking too long then he left without completing the job. Then they had to send a female days later to complete the job. When it went out again just several months later over the holidays I didn't even bother after making the phone call they couldn't reset it from internally. I had no choice but to just go get myself an antenna and start using that! So a couple days ago I called Cox Cable customer service again and wanted to get a credit for the last 6 months of no service on my mini box the woman refused. I ask for a manager. . she put me on a long-term hold . Meanwhile I called one of their competition. While I was talking to them on speaker phone . Cox finally came through on my other phone line . They heard me on the phone to their competitor. Sure enough I had maintenance people out here this morning. About 30 minutes ago I had a follow-up person here just to see how the service was from earlier this morning. So the point of the story is Cox cable does not respect or appreciate their current/long term customers by take proper care of them and the services they are paying for. Unless there in Jeopardy of losing you!! Just a suggestion to Cox customer service reps: If you Provide quality service at all the time and respect to your long-term customers will only earn you more customers! That's just business 101! Cox Cable I have to break up with you!
