  • The mechanic I spoke with for an estimate was friendly but his inspection seemed rushed and he gave me a much higher estimate than I got from machinery row, due in part (I think) to assuming some parts would need to be replaced that may not need to be, and implied that I might be better off just buying a new bike. I got my bike fixed at machinery row and the cost was less than the est from Erik's, and my bike rides like new.
