  • We heard stellar reviews about Ballard from my in-laws who have had excellent service. Unfortunately, we seem to receive very spotty customer service. (1) The first time we used the services of Ballard, it was to check out the A/C unit at our house while we were in the inspection process. Great service, great price, super helpful guy. (2) Next, we got a call from Ballard offering a $49 checkup on the unit. We said great, scheduled it, and waited for them to show. But they did not. Later in the week, they called to reschedule the no-show appointment. Nice that they did call; but we didn't get a heads up that they wouldn't show up (...we waited). (3) This time, they did show up: very helpful guy, very professional and quick. During this appointment we decided to have some of the recommended service performed and wait on the rest. (4) When it came time to have the rest of the services performed, we scheduled another appointment. The day came around, and the Ballard person called a few hours early to see if we were home. We were not (as we had to come home from work to be there), but said we could be home in an hour. He agreed, and we expected him then. Again, a no show, with no call. We waited. (5) So for some reason we called to try to make yet another appointment-- on Thursday this past week. We called the office at 5pm, and were told he's on his way (but running late). No problem. He called about an hour later and said he wouldn't be able to make it. Understandable; it was nice that he called. He offered the next (Friday) afternoon; we accepted. (6) Friday after noon comes around: No Ballard. Again... a lot of waiting around. If you can manage to get "in" with Ballard, it sounds like people have great luck! We've given up hope.
