| - For those who gave 4-5-star because of the so call Hong Kong style egg waffle, I bet none of them tried the real thing before. This is the worst HK egg waffle I ever had at a restaurant/cafe. The crust is soft, and the middle of each eggette is not hollow. The texture tastes exactly like a normal egg waffle, but in a cool eggette shape. Definitely not authentic at all. It is suppose to be crispy, with soft hollow eggettes.
Moreover, the staff are not well-trained. We ordered a sakura green tea, but neither we nor the staff know it is hot drink since there were no indication on the board. She asked us for the ice level, and we paid. Another staff came up and had a conversation with her for quite a while in a language that we don't understand. Then we were told that if we want a cold drink, we would need to pick another one. She told us to pick any other drink on the board, so we picked another one. Then she talked to the guy and again for couple minutes, and then informed us that the one we pick cost more than the sakura green tea, so she need us to pick another one. Then the guy came up once again. He told us we are fine as-is and he will do that for us this time. We were standing in front of the counter that whole time for just a simple order. Quite disappointed on this experience.
We don't like how the staff needs to go back-and-forth with another staff, not sure if that is the owner. She could have just make a simple decision to satisfy the guests and prevent us for a long wait while listening to a foreign language that we don't understand at all. Plus, the place is not well-decorated and Boba is not well-cooked. Fake HK style egg waffle. We definitely won't come back again.
